Have a wild day out!

Bordered by the sheltered, crystal blue waters of the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park and Cockburn Sound, the seaside city of Rockingham is just a 40 minute drive from Perth.

Here you will discover white sandy beaches, protected bays and a network of limestone islands and reefs that are home to an array of wildlife including friendly dolphins, the world’s smallest species of penguin and the rare Australian sea lion.

Rockingham Wild Encounters is a locally owned ecotourism operation that specializes in interacting with the local wildlife in their natural environment. We are the only company licensed to operate within the highly sensitive and spectacular Shoalwater Islands Marine Park. We offer a range of tour options with something to suit everyone.

For the adventurous, imagine swimming with wild bottlenose dolphins- it’s the ultimate wildlife close encounter! For those who enjoy getting amongst the wildlife in comfort consider our Dolphin Watch Tour or a 45 minute cruise on our glass bottom boat to visit the sea lions in Shoalwater Bay.

We also operate the only ferry service to beautiful Penguin Island where the little penguins are fed daily at the Discovery Centre. It only takes an hour to visit the penguins, but if you have more time, enjoy swimming, snorkelling, surfing, beach walking or just relaxing amongst some of WA’s most spectacular coastal scenery.
