Frequently Asked Questions

1. I’ve never kayaked before. Is your tour suitable for beginners?
Absolutely! Many of our guests were first time paddlers. Our instructor will give you an introductory equipment briefing and paddling lesson on the beach before your group heads out to the islands.

2. How physically fit do you need to be to join the tour?
A basic level of fitness is required. We are not covering big distances and there are plenty of rest stops, but for those who have not paddled before you may be feeling a bit tired by the end of the day.

3. How far do we paddle?
Between 3- 5 kms depending on weather conditions.

4. Do you guarantee wildlife sightings?
We can never guarantee wildlife sightings but we do our best to show you as much of the wildlife on the day as possible. Please be aware that some species are seasonal, for example the sea lions swim north every 18 months to visit the ladies, however, we are very fortunate that there is a great diversity of wildlife and encounters are very common.

5. What happens when the weather is bad?
We assess weather conditions on the morning prior to the tour departure and contact you by phone to cancel the trip if the weather is bad. We will do our best to reschedule you on another day, otherwise we will refund you in full.
